Logo design for Yorkshire based seafood restaurant Seaview
Logo Designer Leeds, Yorkshire
Logo design re-fresh for Yorkshire based seafood restaurant Seaview. I created a custom, hand-drawn logo with a minimal sun/sea icon illustration.
Seaview approached me looking for a Yorkshire-based logo designer to refresh their existing brand identity and create a more distinctive brand and visual identity for their seafood restaurant.
As an established hospitality business, they wanted a logo that reflected the restaurant’s coastal influence, quality food offering, and welcoming atmosphere while creating a more professional and memorable brand presence.
The project focused on developing a simple and timeless logo design that could work consistently across signage, menus, marketing materials, digital platforms, and future brand applications.
I created a custom hand-drawn logo featuring a minimal sea and sun icon designed to communicate the restaurant’s coastal heritage while maintaining a clean and contemporary appearance.
The final brand identity provides a flexible and recognisable branding system that helps strengthen the restaurant’s visual presence both online and offline.

Effective restaurant branding needs to balance several important elements:
• Strong brand recognition
• Memorable logo design
• Clear positioning
• Consistency across customer touchpoints
• Long-term flexibility and scalability
For Seaview, the goal was to create a logo design and brand identity that felt professional, distinctive, and appropriate for the restaurant's seafood offering while remaining simple enough to work across multiple applications.
The new visual identity also needed to help strengthen brand recognition and support future marketing activity.
THE CHALLENGE
The main challenge was creating a logo design that reflected the restaurant's coastal identity without relying on overly complex or generic seafood branding.
Many hospitality brands use predictable visual references, making it difficult to create memorable and distinctive identities.
The objective was to develop a cleaner and more recognisable logo that balanced personality, simplicity, and versatility.
THE SOLUTION
We began by exploring the restaurant's positioning, audience, and competitive landscape to establish a clear creative direction.
From there, I developed:
• Custom logo design concepts
• Hand-drawn icon development
• Brand identity refinements
• Typography development
• Colour palette development
• Flexible logo applications
The final logo design combines a simple custom wordmark with a minimal sea and sun icon, creating a timeless identity that feels both professional and approachable.
THE OUTCOME
The result is a distinctive logo and brand identity that helps strengthen Seaview's recognition within the local hospitality market.
The refreshed visual identity provides a more professional and consistent brand presence across customer touch points while supporting future business growth.
The new logo design system is flexible enough to work across signage, menus, print materials, social media, and digital platforms.
